The Dresden StudentHouse is situation in the middle of Dresden's Hechtviertel; a peaceful residential area on the edge of the exuberant Neustadt, which is the pub and hotspot quarter of Dresden.
Our location merges two advantages: You can sleep peacefully and still be centrally connected. The university, vocational- and language schools are just a short bus or tram ride away. It's only a 10 minute walk to the nightlife scene and 6 tram stops to the historical old city. Feel free to contact us about getting from our hostel to specific locations.
Right next door is a gorgeous sauna with a cafe and gallery, close by are two shopping centers, a bank, and possibilities for affordable dining. Across the street is a park that in summer invites relaxation.

Directions
From the Main Train Station (Hauptbahnhof)
Take tram 8, direction Hellerau or tram 7, direction Weixdorf until the stop called Tannenstrasse. Walk left onto Tannenstrasse, go under the bridge where the trains run and head to the church tower in front of you. When you reach the church, you just need to go another 100 meters taking a slight right uphill on the Schanzenstrasse. On the next corner you'll see us.
Total time is about 30 minutes including the 5 minute walk.
From the Neustadt Train Station
Leave the station through the main entrance and head left onto Dr. Friedrich-Wolfstrasse. Stay on this street and it will turn into Dammweg. You'll cross a wide street with tram tracks called Bischofsweg. Keep heading straight; railroad embankment will be to your left. Soon you'll see Tannenstrasse where you’ll take a left, walking another 100 meters to the church. From the church take a slight right uphill on the Schanzenstrasse. On the next corner you'll see the Dresden StudentHouse.
Total time is about a 15-20 minute walk.
If you don't want to walk from the Neustadt Train Station, then take tram 11, 3, or 6 one stop to Albertplatz and transfer to either tram 7 or 8, riding three stations to Tannenstrasse. Here you'll walk left onto Tannenstrasse, go under the bridge where the trains run and head to the church tower in front of you. When you reach the church, you just need to go another 100 meters taking a slight right uphill on Schanzenstrasse.You’ll see us on the next corner.

Driving directions
Take the freeway exit Hellerau and drive down the main street into the city. The street will eventually lead down a pretty steep hill. At the foot of this hill is an intersection where you'll turn left onto the Hechtstrasse and drive straight. Follow the street which will curve left at some point. Turn right on the second street before the bus stop called Schanzenstrasse. At the next intersection make a right on Seitenstrasse. Our hostel is on the corner.
